Kinkaid was 3-2-1 in 9 appearances last season when Shesterkin went down with injury. His GAA was 2.59 with a SV% of .898. In his NHL career he’s 68-58-21 with a 2.93 GAA and a respectable .905 SV%.

In 3 games against the Coyotes in his career he’s 1-2-0, with a 877 SV% and 3.33 GAA.

Additionally per multiple reports, Filip Chytil was a late scratch and Greg McKegg has been inserted into the lineup. Barclay Goodrow has moved up in Chytil’s spot.

Prior to the game, Gerard Gallant hinted a changes but as to the reasons why Chytil is not in the lineup remains unclear. At this time he appears to be a healthy scratch.
