Kaapo Kakko’s name was the only one remaining when yesterday’s NHL COVID list came out. This isn’t a great sign for Kakko but a good one for the NHL as there was at one point dozens on the list.

If call goes well, it is possible Kakko could return this week if he’s symptom free. Kakko was placed on the list on February 20th.

When to expect Vitali Kravtsov

The KHL concluded their regular season this past weekend and the playoffs begin tomorrow. Vitali Kravtsov’s team Traktor will start on Wednesday against the slightly favored Salavat Yulaev in the opening round. Should they get eliminated, Vitali could be here by late March. Traktor is not expected to win the Gagarin cup.

The Rangers first round pick in 2018, finished the season with 16 goals and 24 points in 49 games. Per Larry Brooks, “the Rangers should have enough room in another couple of weeks for Kravtsov as long as injured parties return sooner rather than later and further injuries do not occur that would force the team to keep a bloated roster.”
